Officers from the Office of Supply Chain Security Management (OSCS) of Hong Kong Customs and Excise Department (C&ED) were invited to attend the ‘Hong Kong Gifts and Premium Fair’, which was organized by Hong Kong Trade Development Council and co-organized by the Hong Kong Exporters’ Association, and delivered an in-depth presentation on Hong Kong Authorized Economic Operator (HKAEO) Programme today (29 April 2019).
More than 50 participants from the local industries attended the seminar with the theme “HKAEO Programme – Helping Businesses to Explore Belt and Road Market”. During the seminar, OSCS officers shared the latest development of HKAEO Programme and introduced how the Programme help businesses to explore the markets along Belt and Road. Besides, as arranged by C&ED, Mrs. Chanunpat Pisanapipong, Trade Commissioner and Consul of Royal Thai Consulate General in Hong Kong and Mr. Iqbal Shoffan Shofwan, Trade Consul of the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia in Hong Kong, were invited to the seminar to introduce the market overview of Thailand and Indonesia, the two economies along the Belt and Road, respectively.
OSCS will maintain close contact with the stakeholders and organize various seminars with an aim to further promote the HKAEO Programme, so as to strengthen C&ED’s role as Trade Facilitator and Economic Development Promoter in the domestic and global economies.
