Officers from the Office of Supply Chain Security Management (OSCS) of the Customs and Excise Department (C&ED) delivered a talk on the Hong Kong Authorized Economic Operator (HKAEO) Programme today (17 October 2020) at The Open University of Hong Kong (OUHK).
Representative from the OSCS introduced to the part-time students attending the supply chain management course of OUHK the latest development of the HKAEO Programme and its potential benefits available for local enterprises, such as reduced customs inspection and prioritized customs clearance. The talk aimed to provide an understanding to the students, with most of them already in the supply chain industry, on how the HKAEO Programme can help enhance international supply chain security and facilitate the flow of legitimate goods. The talk was delivered in hybrid mode in view of the COVID-19 pandemic.
OSCS will continue its effort to promote the HKAEO Programme through collaboration with various organizations, so as to further strengthen C&ED’s role in facilitating legitimate trade.
