To facilitate traders’ understanding of the concrete benefits reaped from the Hong Kong Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) Programme, the Customs and Excise Department (C&ED) has produced a video series – “AEO Blogger” which invites representatives from HKAEOs to share their experience on how the Programme helps their enterprises upgrade and improve their management and supply chain security as well as explore new markets.
In the latest episode, C&ED invited Mr. Alain LI, Regional Chief Executive in Asia Pacific of Richemont Asia Pacific Limited (accredited as HKAEO in 2014), to share his experience on how the AEO Mutual Recognition Arrangements (MRAs) can benefit enterprises in seizing business opportunities and exploring overseas markets. Mr. LI shared that as Hong Kong is a regional hub and an important market for his company, shipping their products from places where AEO MRAs have been signed with Hong Kong would ensure high speed of execution and guarantee supply chain security, and thereby increasing the overall competitiveness of his company.
The AEO Blogger video has been uploaded onto the C&ED YouTube channel. More episodes are underway and will be released shortly.
