Hong Kong Authorized Economic Operators (HKAEO) can enjoy reciprocal customs clearance facilitation including reduced examination and prioritized clearance in the economies which have signed Mutual Recognition Arrangements (MRA) with Hong Kong Customs.
To ensure that the AEOs can enjoy the reciprocal benefits, Office of Supply Chain Security Management (OSCS) has been working closely with our MRA partners to produce training videos for traders and their agents to make proper Customs declarations.
Today, a training video collaborated with Thai Customs is released on our YouTube Channel (YouTube link for training video). It shows the declaration process in Thai Customs Electronic System (TCES) and specifically demonstrates the proper procedure to input relevant HKAEO identification number onto TCES. For AEO goods from Thailand heading to Hong Kong, traders should accurately furnish their certified company names and operating addresses in the cargo manifests and relevant declaration system of Hong Kong Customs in order to enjoy the clearance facilitation.
OSCS will continue to support local traders and assist them to get familiarized with customs clearance procedures in order to enjoy relevant clearance facilitation and benefits.
