On invitation of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, Hong Kong Customs took part in a seminar held on the sideline of the Hong Kong Gifts & Premium Fair on 29 April 2024 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Serving as a pre-eminent marketplace for the gifts industry, the fair converged buyers and suppliers of the world's trending lifestyle items and ideas. In order for businesses to be able to harness the full benefits of tariff reduction brought by the Free Trade Agreement Transhipment Facilitation Scheme (FTA Scheme), an officer of the Ports and Maritime Command (PMC) explicated the procedures and points to note during the presentation session at the seminar. PMC officers also introduced the FTA Scheme to exhibitors through promotional visits and distribution of leaflets.
