On the sideline of the Hong Kong International Lighting Fair on 8 April 2024, Hong Kong Customs co-organised a seminar with the Hong Kong Trade Development Council at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Under the theme "Tapping the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Opportunities, Maximising Greater Bay Area's Unique Edge", an officer of the Ports and Maritime Command (PMC) delivered a presentation on the Free Trade Agreement Transhipment Facilitation Scheme (FTA Scheme) and shared how it could help traders to improve market access opportunities in terms of preferential tariff treatment. PMC officers also capitalised on the occasion to promote the FTA Scheme by visiting exhibitors and distributing leaflets.
