In cooperation with the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, Hong Kong Customs organised a seminar on the sideline of the Hong Kong International Diamond, Gem & Pearl Show on 1 March 2024 at the Hong Kong AsiaWorld-Expo.
As a premier trade platform, the event attracted over 31,000 buyers from 125 countries to make business and connect with suppliers of fine jewellery and jewellery raw materials. An officer of the Ports and Maritime Command (PMC) introduced the Free Trade Agreement Transhipment Facilitation Scheme (FTA Scheme) and highlighted the tangible benefits from joining in terms of tariff concessions and competitiveness enhancement. PMC officers also took the opportunity to promote the FTA Scheme to trade through promotional visits to exhibitors and distribution of leaflets.
