At the invitation of the Federation of Hong Kong Industries (FHKI), Hong Kong Customs co-organised a webinar on 6 July 2023 to introduce the Free Trade Agreement Transhipment Facilitation Scheme (FTA Scheme) to traders of Vietnam.
An introduction to the Scheme, focusing on how Vietnamese traders could enjoy tariff reduction and tap into new market regime, was presented by an officer of the Ports and Maritime Command (PMC) to members of FHKI, the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as well as the Vietnam Logistics Business Association. PMC officers also took the opportunity to foster future collaboration with FHKI in promoting the FTA Scheme to overseas traders.
Hong Kong Customs will continue to maintain close contact with trade associations and transport and logistics groups, proactively promoting the FTA Scheme, in efforts to let traders stay informed and maximize opportunities today and into the future.
