Hong Kong Customs participated on invitation to a webinar organized by the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in Hong Kong (CILTHK) for its members on 5 June 2023.
The webinar featured speakers from various Commands of Hong Kong Customs, dedicating to sharing how Customs trade facilitation measures could help make trade across borders faster, more economical and predictable, whilst enhancing supply chain security.
An introduction of the Free Trade Agreement Transhipment Facilitation Scheme (FTA Scheme) delivered by an officer of the Ports and Maritime Command (PMC) provided the industry with a glimpse into how they could enjoy tariff concessions from joining the Scheme.
Officers of the Office of Trade Relations and Public Communication and the Land Boundary Command respectively introduced the Hong Kong Authorized Economic Operator Programme and the Single e-lock Scheme with highlights on solid benefits and merits.
Hong Kong Customs will continue to maintain close contact with the industry and stakeholders to keep them abreast of the latest development of trade facilitation measures. This enables them to leverage opportunities presented by the Greater Bay Area development and the Belt and Road Initiatives.
