The Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP), the world's largest economic pact at present, took effect in January 2022. Understanding how RCEP would further facilitate trade and regional economic growth is vital for enterprises to capture the emerging business opportunities.
Against this backdrop, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council organized on 14 July 2022 a webinar themed "Leveraging RCEP Preferential Tariff to Explore ASEAN Market Opportunities", in which an officer of the Ports and Maritime Command (PMC) of Hong Kong Customs was invited to participate as guest speaker.
An in-depth introduction of the Free Trade Agreement Transhipment Facilitation Scheme (FTA Scheme) and how the scheme could facilitate traders to enjoy tariff reduction were shared to over 280 representatives of small and medium-sized enterprises from various industries engaged in international trade and commerce.
If your association is interested in learning more about the FTA Scheme or would like to have an outreach programme arranged, please feel free to contact our Free Trade Agreement Transhipment Facilitation Unit at 3152 0233 or email to fta_enquiry@customs.gov.hk.
