Hong Kong Customs delivered a presentation to introduce its trade facilitation measures at the quarterly meeting of the Shipping & Transport Committee, Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce (HKGCC) on 11 May 2022.
The latest development of the two Customs' trade facilitation measures, namely the Free Trade Agreement Transhipment Facilitation Scheme (FTA Scheme) and the Hong Kong Authorized Economic Operator Programme was presented by respective officers of the Ports and Maritime Command (PMC) and the Office of Trade Relations and Public Communication to 14 committee members.
Hong Kong Customs will continue to maintain close contact with stakeholders to promote trade facilitation measures by Customs, with emphasis on the benefits and opportunities arising from the Belt and Road Initiative and the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement.
