The Customs and Excise Department's new Customer Service Centre (CSC), at the Customs Headquarters Building (CHB), will start operating on November 29 (Monday).
The Centre, located on the third floor of CHB at 222 Java Road, North Point, will provide integrated and one-stop service for the application of Customs-related licences and permits in the following areas:
Currently, members of the public applying for such licences or permits have to approach and visit individual offices in different districts.
"With the opening of the CSC, the Hong Kong Customs will provide better and speedier services under one roof for the public," a Department's spokesman said today (November 25).
"The new CSC will also provide general public enquiry services and comprehensive information on the department's work areas face-to-face," the spokesman added.
Operating hours of the CSC are from 8.45am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday. It will close on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.
