Hong Kong Customs yesterday (September 8) seized about 1.5 kilograms of suspected cocaine and suspected methamphetamine with an estimated market value of about $1 million in total in Kwu Tung, Sheung Shui.
During an anti-narcotics operation conducted yesterday afternoon, Customs officers seized the suspected dangerous drugs inside a metal shed in Kwu Tung, Sheung Shui. Afterwards, Customs officers arrested two men, aged 32 and 33, suspected to be involved in the case in Sheung Shui. Investigation is ongoing.
Under the Dangerous Drugs Ordinance, trafficking in a dangerous drug is a serious offence. The maximum penalty upon conviction is a fine of $5 million and life imprisonment.
