A Grand Parade of the Disciplined Services of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) will be held on July 15 (Sunday) at Hong Kong Stadium, So Kon Po, to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the establishment of the HKSAR.
A government spokesman today (July 13) said that all 23,000 tickets had been given out to the public.
He reminded ticket-holders that they could gain entry starting from 8.45am on the event day. Those without the required ticket will not be allowed admission to the venue.
The Grand Parade is organised by the Security Bureau in conjunction with the Hong Kong Police Force, Fire Services Department, Customs and Excise Department, Immigration Department, Correctional Services Department, Civil Aid Service, Auxiliary Medical Service and Government Flying Service.
The Chief Executive, Mr Donald Tsang, would be officiating at the event.
For the first time, five disciplined services - Hong Kong Police Force, Fire Services Department, Customs and Excise Department, Immigration Department and Correctional Services Department - will jointly perform a silent drill.
Other highlights include demonstrations by Customs drug detector dogs, kung fu, umbrella dance, artistic cycling, tower building, band music and performance by pop singers.
Participating youth uniformed groups include Civil Aid Service Cadet Corps; Hong Kong Adventure Corps; Hong Kong Road Safety Association; Scouts Association of Hong Kong; the Boy's Brigade, Hong Kong; the Cadet Command of Hong Kong St. John Ambulance, and the Hong Kong Girl Guides Association.
