Unity for IP Protection, Driver for Economic Prosperity

Hong Kong Customs organised the first three-day Regional High-Level Conference on Intellectual Property Protection from 12 to 14 March 2024 which brought together 200 IP experts and industry stakeholders from the Asia-Pacific region, fostering the exchange of best practices and experience on IP protection.

The theme of the conference centred around three key elements, namely "Enforcement", "Engagement", and "Education". During the conference, Hong Kong Customs signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Quality Brands Protection Committee of the China Association of Enterprises with Foreign Investment (QBPC), strengthening collaboration in IP rights protection. Bilateral meetings with the Indian Customs and the Philippines Customs were held respectively to enhance co-operation with the two customs administrations.
