Customs YES organised a three-day historical and cultural study tour to Hunan from 19 to 21 December 2023. Led by the then Deputy Commissioner (Control and Enforcement) of Customs and Excise, Mr Chan Tsz-tat, a delegation of 35 Customs YES members visited the hometown of the late Chairman Mao Zedong, to deepen their understanding of this influential figure and strengthen their sense of national identity. The delegation also visited the China Resources Hope Town in Shaoshan, participating in an agricultural experience to learn about the work of poverty alleviation and sustainable economic development in Hunan.

The group also observed the efficient customs clearance procedures of the Hunan-Guangdong-Hong Kong Single E-lock Scheme and travelled to Changsha, where they gained a better understanding on the history, work and facilities of the Changsha Customs District.

香港海關青年發展計劃 (Customs YES) 於二○二三年十二月十九日至二十一日舉辦為期3天的湘鄉歷史文化考察團。時任海關副關長（管制及執法）陳子達帶領35位Customs YES學員到訪已故國家主席毛澤東的家鄉——湖南，以加深學員對這位偉人的認識，提升他們的民族自豪感。考察團亦到韶山華潤希望小鎮的鄉村進行農事體驗，親身了解湖南扶貧及實現小鎮經濟可持續發展的工作。

考察團亦親身了解湘粵港海關在實施「跨境一鎖」快速通關的安排。學員同時踏足長沙，認識長沙海關的歷史、工作及設施。

Customs YES historical and cultural study tour to Hunan

Customs YES湘鄉歷史文化考察團

In support of the HKSAR Government’s "Day x Night Vibes @ 18 Districts" campaign and to showcase the work of Hong Kong Customs and Customs YES, a Lunar New Year (LNY) fair stall was organised in partnership with Suicide Prevention Services Limited (SPS) from 7 to 9 February 2024. The stall, themed "Customs' Festive Dragon Vibe", involved active participation from Customs YES members in its preparation and operation.

The Commissioner of Customs and Excise, Ms Louise Ho, visited the LNY fair stall to extend festive greetings to the public and participated in stall games. All proceeds raised were donated to SPS, supporting their mental health development initiatives within the community. It exemplified the department’s enduring commitment to "Connecting Hearts for the Community".

為響應特區政府推出「18區日夜都繽紛」的活動，以及宣傳海關工作和Customs YES，香港海關與社福機構「生命熱線」在今年二月七日至九日攜手舉辦以「海關繽FUN慶龍年」為題的新春年宵攤位。Customs YES會員亦有參與籌備及營運是次活動。

海關關長何珮珊到場參觀年宵攤位，向在場市民送上新年祝賀，並一起參與攤位遊戲。活動所籌得之善款將全數撥捐「生命熱線」，以支持其社區精神健康發展工作，亦展現香港海關一直秉持「以心連心，共建社會」的服務精神。

Customs YES 2024 Lunar New Year Fair Stall

Customs YES新春年宵攤位 2024

On 28 January 2024, the Wan Chai promenade hosted a mesmerizing event called "Charming Hong Kong" drone light show, organised by the Bauhinia Culture Group. The then Deputy Commissioner (Control and Enforcement) of Customs and Excise, Mr Chan Tsz-tat, led a group of Customs YES members to experience this spectacular visual carnival combining technology, culture and art. Thousands of drones lit up the sky, forming matrices of different patterns including flying “Loong”, Cantonese Opera actress, and traditional Hong Kong style neon signs. The members in attendance were all amazed by the seamless blend of historical and modern elements achieved through the innovative use of drone technology.

由紫荊文化集團主辦的「繽紛香港」大型無人機燈光秀今年一月二十八日晚上在香港灣仔海濱舉辦。時任海關副關長（管制及執法）陳子達帶領一眾Customs YES會員體驗這個由科技、文化及藝術結合的視覺盛宴。逾千架無人機點亮夜空，組成飛騰的龍、粵劇花旦和傳統港式霓虹招牌等不同圖案。出席的會員都對這融合歷史與現代科技的無人機技術嘆為觀止。

On 2 March 2024, the Red Cross organized a fundraising event "City Challenge" to raise funds for various humanitarian services of the Red Cross and increase public awareness of their services.  Hong Kong Customs College’s trainees, along with other colleagues, provided voluntary service in venue decoration, participant registration and game running.

二〇二四年三月二日，紅十字會舉行定向挑戰籌款活動，為各項人道服務籌款及提升公眾對紅十字會服務的認識。海關學院受訓的學員與其他在職海關同事於當日提供義工服務，為大會安排場地佈置，登記及遊戲協助。

C&ED Volunteer Team Fully Supports Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon 2024 

海關義工全力支援渣打香港馬拉松2024

The "Po Leung Kuk 145th Anniversary Charity Walk" was held on 27 January 2024 to raise funds to expand various services and benefit those in need. The Assistant Commissioner （Administration and Human Resource Development）of Customs and Excise, Ms Tam So-Ying led a group of 70 colleagues and their family members in the opening ceremony at the Hong Kong Stadium. The walk went through Black's Link, Wan Chai Gap Park and Aberdeen Reservoir Road, finishing at Aberdeen Country Park.

「保良局145 周年慈善步行」今年一月二十七日上午舉行。海關助理關長（行政及人力資源發展）譚素瑩身體力行，帶領七十位同事及家屬參與在香港大球場舉行的開步禮。活動由香港大球場起步，途經布力徑、灣仔峽公園及香港仔水塘道等，並以香港仔郊野公園為終點，為保良局籌募經費以惠及有需要人士。

Po Leung Kuk 145th Anniversary Charity Walk

保良局145周年慈善步行

The C&ED Department Volunteer Team provided volunteer services for the Chinese University of Hong Kong Jockey Club’s Myopia Prevention Programme at the Hong Kong Eye Hospital on 6 April 2024. The Volunteer Team assisted in the registration and completion of questionnaires, followed by medical staff’s professional eye examinations. Joining hands with students from Our Lady of the Rosary College, the team explained the importance of protecting eye health to the participants who not only gained an in-depth understanding of the work of ophthalmologists but also inspiration for their career planning.

海關義工隊於二○二四年四月六日為香港眼科醫院「香港中文大學賽馬會瞳心童行計劃2024」提供義工支援服務，協助參加計劃的兒童及其家人進行登記及問卷調查，讓醫護人員替參加者進行專業眼睛檢查，亦與來自聖母玫瑰書院高中的學生協助解說保護眼睛健康的重要性，除了讓學生深入了解眼科醫護人員工作，亦為他們的生涯規劃提供啟發。
