Customs Officer Chan Wai-ping (Ping) has recently joined the Electronic Crime Investigation Centre of Intellectual Property Investigation Bureau, where he is dedicated to detecting and combating online infringement and related technology crimes. Ping is a member of the Computer Analysis and Response Team (CART) . Having completed the professional training provided by the Department in a local tertiary institute, he attended an intermediate training course on Digital Forensics Examination Techniques in Xiamen this November. The course aimed to enhance his online investigation and computer forensic skill. Ping is eager to apply his newly acquired knowledge and contribute to the Department's efforts in combating crimes related to streaming technology and collecting relevant digital evidence to protect intellectual property rights.
