Hong Kong Customs participated in the "Privacy-Friendly Awards 2023" organised by the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data and won the Gold Award. In an effort to bolster the integrity management culture and further safeguard personal data privacy, Hong Kong Customs implemented the Personal Data Privacy Management Programme (PMP) to keep track of the relevant policy, procedures, training and monitoring related to the responsible collection, holding, processing and use of personal data, which helps provide better services and build public and staff trust. The Department's relentless efforts in safeguarding personal data privacy are commendable and duly recognized. Looking forward, the Department will continue to improve the PMP and strive for excellence.
