Step up consumer protection work during National Day Golden Week period

During the National Day Golden Week period, Hong Kong Customs launched an operation to step up patrols and public education in popular shopping areas to remind traders to comply with the requirements of the Trade Descriptions Ordinance. Customs also launched a publicity campaign, themed "不切片•不磨粉" , to raise consumers awareness about common unfair trade practices and avoid falling into consumer pitfalls. A series of promotion leaflets, comic panels and videos were shared on the departmental media platforms to disseminate shopping tips. Also, promotional videos were broadcast on cross boundary buses to deepen visitors' understanding of their consumer rights. The campaign received enthusiastic support from the public.
