The "Smart Liquor Valuation and Verification" (SLVV) initiative, part of the "Smart Customs Blueprint", has been implemented since September 2023. SLVV reduces liquor valuation processing time by half and expedites permit application approval. The introduction of data filtering and coding function significantly improves efficiency and reduces errors during the selection and post-clearance verification of over 2000 executed permits annually. SLVV's sustainable database, with real-time verification of historical and newly declared data of each liquor importer, facilitates officers to investigate potential cases of under-declaration liquor values and identify dubious importers, thereby protecting government revenue.
