The Commissioner of Customs and Excise, Ms Louise Ho, and the Assistant Commissioner of Customs and Excise(Intelligence and Investigation), Mr Woo Wai-kwan, attended the opening ceremony of GROWS Together, which was jointly organized by the Hong Kong Quality Mentorship Network and Tseung Kwan O District Junior Police Call. The programme aims to help senior secondary school students understand the workplace environment and explore different career paths.
Four of our colleagues, including Senior Superintendent, Mr Li Kin-kei, Assistant Superintendent, Ms Kong Shun-man, Assistant Superintendent, Mr Chan Kam-hung, and Chief Trade Controls Officer, Ms Mao Wai-man, have volunteered as mentors in the mentorship programme. They assist the youth in laying a solid foundation for entering the workplace in the future and give them inspiration and guidance. They not only broaden their horizons and explore multiple development paths but also encourage them to make early career planning to prepare for the future and lead a positive life.
Through interaction and close communication, mentors will share their life experiences and provide guidance on what mentees want to achieve in life, inspire them to recognize their own development path, and encourage them to strive for their goals.
