Chief Customs Officer, Mr Liu Ngai-chung(Chung), is one of the founding members of Hong Kong Customs & Excise Dragon and Lion Dance Association, which aims to foster cohesion among peers and promote traditional Chinese performance culture to the public.
Chung recalled it was summer when preparing for the establishment of the Association. The members had to undergo outdoor training under the burning sun and learned lion dance from scratch. After a year of training and preparation, with the determination and enthusiasm, the Association was officially established in 2019 and the first official lion dance performance was conducted successfully. Chung said, "As long as everyone works together and is willing to make sacrifices, everything is possible!"
