Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Customs Boost Collaboration for Duty-Free Allowance

On 9 July 2024, customs officials from Hong Kong, Guangdong, Shenzhen, Gongbei, and Macao met in Zhuhai to discuss collaboration in support of the new duty-free allowance for Mainland visitors.

The meeting focused on improving clearance management and enforcement co-operation. Three sides agreed to flexibly deploy manpower, monitor control points in real-time, and take necessary actions during peak travel periods to ensure the smooth operation of Customs clearance and facilitate passenger flow.
