The Commissioner of Customs and Excise, Ms Ho Pui-shan, officiated at the 2022 World Customs Organization (WCO) Certificates of Merit (CoM) cum Commendation Certificates and Staff Suggestion Schemes awards presentation ceremony at the Customs Headquarters Building on 2 June 2022. Ms Ho presented the WCO CoM to 17 awardees in recognition of their tremendous contribution to digitalizing Customs procedures, developing data-driven infrastructures, utilizing data analysis in combating criminal activities and providing professional technical advice for enhancing the department's Intermodal Transhipment Facilitation Scheme.
In May 2021, 15 Customs officers and one dedicated working group were awarded WCO CoM in recognition of their immense contribution to building up closer co-operation with different stakeholders, integrating innovative technology into Customs operations and enhancing staff's readiness for new challenges. Besides, stakeholders of the department were also awarded for their tremendous support and close partnership with the department in fostering a sustainable global supply chain during the pandemic outbreak.
