Secretary for Security, Mr Tang Ping-keung, inspected the passing-out parade as the Reviewing Officer for 66 Probationary Customs Officers who completed their induction course at the Hong Kong Customs College on 10 June 2022. It is the first time that the Chinese-style foot drill has been adopted in the passing-out parade since its full adoption by the Customs on May Fourth Youth Day. It demonstrated Customs officers' sense of belonging to and patriotic feelings for the country.
Mr Tang emphasised in his speech that the department's essential role in Hong Kong's transition from chaos to order. He also appreciated the continuous efforts made by the department in cultivating young Customs talents to be the "gatekeepers" of Hong Kong.
