The Commissioner of Customs and Excise, Ms Ho Pui-shan, and the Director General of the General Department of Customs and Excise of Cambodia, Dr Kun Nhem, signed a Memorandum of Understanding Regarding Co-operation and Mutual Administrative Assistance (MoU) on 16 September 2022. It is the first co-operative instrument signed digitally between Hong Kong Customs and other Customs administrations.
The signing of this MoU paves the way for both sides to strengthen intelligence and information exchange for combating crossborder crimes and promoting closer ties in trade facilitation.
Currently, 29 similar co-operative instruments have come into effect between Hong Kong Customs and other Customs administrations.
