Outreach Publicity on FTA Scheme – Hong Kong International Wine and Spirits Fair

8 Nov 2024

In cooperation with the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, Hong Kong Customs organised a seminar on the sideline of the 16th Hong Kong International Wine and Spirits Fair on 8 November 2024 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.

With the recent reduction in liquor duty in the premium market as set out in the 2024 policy address, the fair served as an important platform for connecting buyers and more than 600 exhibitors from 20 countries and regions, who came to showcase fine wines and spirits from around the world as well as related products and services.

During the seminar, an officer of the Ports and Maritime Command (PMC) delivered a presentation of the Free Trade Agreement Transhipment Facilitation Scheme (FTA Scheme) and provided details on how exhibitors could leverage the Scheme to benefit from tariff concessions under relevant trade agreements between the Mainland of China and her trading partners.

If your association is interested in learning more about the FTA Scheme or would like to have an outreach programme arranged, please feel free to contact our Free Trade Agreement Transhipment Facilitation Unit at 3152 0233 or email to fta_enquiry@customs.gov.hk.
