Outreach Publicity on FTA Scheme – Thematic Sharing Session for Hong Kong New Territories Manufacturers Association

26 Jul 2024

Hong Kong Customs held a thematic sharing session on 26 July 2024 for members of the Hong Kong New Territories Manufacturers Association (NTMA) to foster a better understanding on the Free Trade Agreement Transhipment Facilitation Scheme (FTA Scheme).

The sharing session focused on how, by joining the FTA Scheme, businesses could benefit tangibly from the tariff concessions under relevant trade agreements between the Mainland of China and her trading partners. During the sharing session, officers of the Ports of Maritime Command provided members of NTMA with a comprehensive overview of the FTA Scheme, including the background of the Scheme, eligibility and methods for application, as well as applicable service scope and the latest news. The session concluded with an engaging Q&A segment, in which participants had the chance to delve deeper into the operation of the Scheme and its application principles.

If your association is interested in learning more about the FTA Scheme or would like to have an outreach programme arranged, please feel free to contact our Free Trade Agreement Transhipment Facilitation Unit at 3152 0233 or email to fta_enquiry@customs.gov.hk.
