Office of Supply Chain Security Management (OSCS) of Customs and Excise Department is committed to expanding trade facilitation benefits for local traders under the Hong Kong Authorized Economic Operator (HKAEO) Programme. In collaboration with the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce (HKGCC), a new trade benefit has been acquired for HKAEOs. With effect from 9 August 2021, HKAEOs can enjoy expedited review service for their applications for ATA Carnet issued by HKGCC.
To enjoy the expedited service, companies should indicate “HKAEO” in the “Remarks to HKGCC” section when submitting their ATA Carnet applications. HKGCC staff will follow up all HKAEO applications submitted before noon within the same day. The new benefit is expected to enhance the competitiveness of HKAEOs and enable them to explore more global business opportunities.
