Hong Kong Customs yesterday (December 11) seized about 1.5 kilograms of suspected heroin with an estimated market value of about $1.3 million at Lo Wu Control Point.
Customs officers intercepted an incoming male passenger at Lo Wu Control Point yesterday evening and found four pieces of suspected heroin weighing about 1.5kg in total in his possession. The 49-year-old man was then arrested.
Investigation is ongoing.
​Under the Dangerous Drugs Ordinance, trafficking in a dangerous drug is a serious offence. The maximum penalty upon conviction is a fine of $5 million and life imprisonment.
